I have a built in webcam and mic on my laptop.

The webcam works, but the mic won’t, even though when I go to my control panel, it says it’s on and working.

Do any of you have any idea how I can fix this?

find whatever brand specific sound utility came with your laptop and find the mic settings in that utility - might be running in the systray by the clock, might be in the control panel, might be in the start menu or hell, it might not even be installed if you’ve ever reinstalled the OS. usually they will have a gain adjuster and almost all computer mic’s need to have the gain turned up to hear anything through the speakers from them.
