Is now only $20.00 a month.
I don’t want to hear anyone else say that birth control is too expensive/inconvenient.

In some areas, for some people, it is still extremely difficult to get birth control. Sometimes there are many obstacles in the way. In some places it’s just a hassle, in others the doctors may easily deter their patients, in other areas it might be more expensive especially without medical insurance. It depends on the area, the doctors, the pharmacies, the information given, whether or not someone is a person of color, economic status, etc.

If I may add anecdata here, birth control is expensive when you can’t take the actual pill but need a hormonal type of BC anyway, are on a fixed income and need to pay out-of-pocket.

Um … and can I also just say in addition to all of the other important stuff said up above … for far too many people$20 a month is a lot of fucking money. $20 a month is birth control pills or being able to buy food for your kids before you get your next check. $20 a month is birth control pills or being able to pay the public transportation fare to get to work. $20 a month is birth control pills or, I don’t know, having fucking soap and toilet paper, perhaps. A lot of things. When you’re poor, I repeat,$20 is a lot of fucking money.

If you are on tumblr, on the internet, not at a public library (aka on your own computer on your own monthly internet) 20 dollars is not a lot of money. And if you still think it is then you are choosing to prioritize an optional (arguably so is BC, you don’t HAVE to have sex) life accessory (the internet and a computer) over something else.
